Jean is an organizational culture consultant, mediator and executive adviser with over 25 years experience in dealing with organizational issues as a coach, mediator, investigator, arbitrator, college instructor and union representative. She works with executives, board members, managers, teams, departments, staff members and unions to help them build more collaborative organizations, deal with root causes of conflict and improve relationships.
  • She provides a full range of services including strategic advice to executives; organizational reviews; conducting cultural and climate assessments; facilitation with groups and teams; conflict resolution system design; mediating disputes; conducting investigations into complaints of bullying or harassment; coaching; training and development. Over the past nine years, Jean has worked with colleges, universities, crown corporations, health care, federal and provincial government departments, transportation, libraries, police forces, community care agencies, national unions and innovative corporations in B.C., Alberta and the Yukon to build more harmonious organizations.
  • Jean worked as a labour relations practitioner for over 20 years and has front-line experience dealing with workplace and organizational issues. Jean trained in advanced mediation and graduated from the Court Mediation Practicum Program in 1999. She is a Director of the BC Mediator Roster Society and Dispute Resolution Innovation Society, was a contract mediator and investigator for the BC Human Rights Commission and an adjudicator at the Employment Standards Tribunal. Jean completed the Arbitrator Development Program with the Ministry of Labour’s Collective Agreement Arbitration Bureau and is on the B.C. Labour Relations Board list of arbitrators. She is a rostered investigator, mediator and trouble-shooter for the Federal Government, Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner, WorkSafe BC and several B.C. post-secondary institutions.
